eau de toilette

/ November 18, 2011 /

he lets his eyes feast on the different bottles on the counter, the shelves were adorned with a cornucopia of shapes and colors. he then asks the staff for a tester of your eau de toilette. he feels the cold glass and sprays a cloud of fragrance on his wrists.

they were lying in bed, his head resting comfortably on your chest. he felt at home there, in that exact position, where he still could smell the fading scent of citrus mix, coriander, subtle watermelon and ocean air accord. there were hints of star anise, galbanum, and lily of the valley, some cedar, patchouli and amber, awaiting to be kissed. he smiled and he hugged you tighter.

from time to time, he brings his wrist under his nose and he allows himself this simple moment of happiness were he feels you are close, you are with him. he misses you.

notice how long your sample spritz lasts, fragrance experts say. if the scent is still there after an hour, then it will last.

he goes home, and he smells just like you. he knows the scent will stay. he knows you will last, he knows you will stay.

Sometimes I wish I could write like you, so freeform and light, able to coalesce any reference to meaning and emotional thought.

For some reason this made me sad. :(

What if the sample spritz didn't last for an hour? What if it smelled so good only after spraying? Will you allow yourself to risk being disappointed?

It is easy to write and call yourself a writer, Geek. But you know what is difficult? To make words into art and art into words. You, however, make them both so easy.

I have been anonymously following your blog since its conception. And i do agree with Sean in his previous comment. You are a true artist.
